In fact, I'm registered with the school disability center so that professors can allow "leniency with absences" because when I get migraines, I am OUT.
Usually people tell me the same thing - have some caffeine, sleep it off, no biggie. But my migraines are different. I wake up with migraines. Yes, that's right - I get migraines when I'm under absolutely no stress at all, when I'm sleeping soundly and my brain waves are at their lowest.
So sleeping it off? Yeah, not really an option. I wish it was.
Usually doctors tell me the same thing - "take this headache diary and after a month we'll be able to see a pattern in what's causing your migraines."
[one month passes]
"Well, there is no discernible cause for your migraines... sooo... good luck with that."
Thanks, Doc.
Maybe one day I'll meet a specialist who knows what they're talking about. Until then, I'll continue my treatment of 3 advil, two excedrine, and one long day inside a dark, quiet room. I'll enjoy it while I can!
yuck, that totally sucks :/
