Past, Present and Future

I like looking back on the year new year's eve, and setting a few good resolutions (ones that I can actually accomplish), as well as thinking about what will happen in the next year. So here it goes.

2010:
First Easter!
Saw Wicked!
Got a dog!
John Mayer!
- Chopped my hair off
- (let it grow back in again)
- Saw my other lover, John Mayer
- completed a year of marriage
Went to Vegas!
- Went from dirt poor, to having a little money to back being poor again
- moved twice
Stung by a sting ray!
- completed the hardest semester of my life
- lost weight only to gain it back again during said semester
In Oregon!
Began Crocheting!
- traveled 7 times to see family
- had bad luck
2nd Halloween together
2nd Christmas
In 2011 we will...

- have better luck
- graduate
-  I turn 21 (I'm legal!)
 - Jeff turns 25 (he can rent cars!)
- move to where we will most likely live for the rest of our lives
- Go to grad school... although we have no idea which one.
- get "real" jobs
- go from dirt poor to making more money than we've ever seen
- possibly get a new addition to the family... :)  (but that new addition may just be another dog. who knows?)
Hopefully take a real vacation
- only travel once to see family. twice at the most.
- celebrate our 2nd anniversary

My new year's resolution? To spend more time taking care of myself. I got my grades back this week, and it kind of sickened me - 4 As and 2 Bs. Now, you may wonder "why is that a bad thing?" It means that even though my life was falling apart, I didn't stop obsessing over my grades. I wasn't able to let it go and just focus on more important things, I let everything else that matters more to me slip.
So this year, I'm going to focus more on myself and my family. We're going to clean the house more, eat better, spend more time together, work out more, and just take better care of what matters most. :) I'm really looking forward to 2011.

  1. Those are great resolutions and goals! I'm so happy for all the exciting things coming up in your lives this next year! :] (And jealous about the whole graduating, getting real jobs part, haha). We will definitely miss you guys when you move, but how exciting! Although if I could make one suggestion, you should also include "hang out with friends you may not see for awhile" to the list of things you are going to do more this semester. Love you!
