It's good to be back

A few short weeks after moving closer to Jeff's work, I left to do some traveling. I saw my parents for the first time since being pregnant, and I saw Whitney - one of my best old friends from high school.

While the trip was awesome, it's really good to be back, and now I have a LOT to get done to get our place into shape. You see, as much as we love our giant, new townhouse, it has no storage, and it's driving me crazy.

So... I will most likely be posting pictures of upcoming projects. The latest one? Creating more storage for our kitchen. We're thinking of buying two of these benches from Walmart:

Beautiful, right? and super cheap, too. (yay walmart!) So we'll buy a couple of these and then a few baskets for storage underneath, paint our old table, make some pillows, and make like a little breakfast nook. Pictures to follow as soon as we're done... whenever that may be.

The newest news? I officially have insurance. (and so does our baby). While Jeff receives insurance from his job, the coverage wasn't too great for hospital visits, and so to avoid going into debt from giving birth, we decided to apply for medicaid - which was way more of adventure than we were ready for.

So... 2 months later, several documents lost by the department, and lots of stress and struggle, we (baby and I) officially are covered! Which means we can save more money instead of paying medical bills!
If I could high-five you via blog, I would. :)

  2. ugh, I know the feeling. But if you apply for retro medicaid, it covers all past bills, such a lifesaver! Let me know if you have any questions.. I'm sure we went through whatever you're going through!
