January: scrambling to get 1,000,001 things done before the baby arrives!

What's new? Too much.

don't let my smile fool you...
Baby girl is quickly arriving, and my stomach happens to be very obvious proof of her growth. I've been waking up every morning and saying to her, "I know that you've got a whole month and some change before you get here, but can you please stop growing, just for now?". Then I swear I see my belly grow another inch before my eyes. She has recently discovered the joy of stretching her arms and legs... at the same time.

Before picture
after picture to come soon...
My parents are coming this Saturday to help us get ready for everything, which is great news for both of us. Our apartment has no storage garage, or storage room, or storage shed or storage closet... so in case you haven't figured it out, we need more storage. We have pretty much been using Madison's nursery as storage for now. But knowing my parents, they'll organize our apartment into oblivion. :)

Sneak Peak of the baby shower set up
Last weekend was my baby shower, and it was a blast! Thanks again to everyone who came! I am still planning a "meet-the-baby" shower in Oregon sometime in March or April after she is born. The baby shower that Amanda threw me was just so amazing. I can't say how great it felt to feel so much love and support from everyone who was able to come.

A few of the lovely ladies who came to the shower

I finally, finally, finally uploaded some very old pictures from my camera. Needless to say, all of these deserve seperate blog posts, but I just don't have the energy for that. So for now, I can get rid of my guilt for being a terrible blogger and hopefully find time to give each event the blog post they each deserve:

Baby shower for Whitney!

Since Whitney lives in Mississippi, I brought the baby shower to her. She also makes adorable onesies.

and we bought gelato in new orleans

and pretended to be normal.

I've started making baby hairclips. :)
