The 12 days of parentlessnessmas

We had a great meeting with our midwives today! I am starting to accept that we will be having a c-section, and it helps that my favorite midwife, Sue, is going to be there for me during the c-section. :)
Madison is still very healthy, but stubborn, and it's not looking like she is going to flip before the 20th.

So... to get our minds off of the pending c-section, Jeff and I have created the "twelve days of parentlessnessmas" - a little play off the 12 days of christmas, except instead of weird things like drummers and milk maids, we will have one fun thing to do each day as a couple, since we have 12 days to go until the c-section.

The best part of the list? On the fourth day of parentlessnessmas Jeff and I are making a blanket fort and having a sleepover in our living room. I can't wait!

(PS - On the first day of parentlessnessmas my true love gave to me... a lunch date at pei-wei. yummm!)

  1. Ummm...can you & Jeff be my parents?! Seriously, you two are going to be the best parents ever! I hope that everyone goes well these next 11 days & I am so excited for you! Madison is one lucky baby.

  2. This is the best idea ever!! How fun! You should keep documenting it on here, it'll be fun to look back on your last few of days as a parentless couple. I'm so glad your favorite midwife is going to be there with you, and that you're feeling better about the whole thing. She'll come out healthy and safe and that's whats the most important thing :) I am so excited for the 20th!! As soon as you're ready, we want to come see you three!
