The Dog Weeesperer

As many of you know, this summer Jeff and I adopted a dog. His name is buddy, he's an american eskimo, and probably about the cutest thing I've ever seen.
Buddy when we first got him. He was pretty sick, and ragged.

What I like about buddy (or bud, which I call him more often) is his personality. He's a white little fluffy thing with an attitude, and whenever I try to treat him like a lap dog, he always gives me dirty looks, as if to say "I wish I wasn't so fluffy. I should have been a German Shepherd."

But like all resuce dogs, Buddy comes with a history. In his last home, buddy was abused. He has cuts all over his ears, and the report he came with explained that he was isolated for about 12 hours out of the day in a family with abusive kids.

Buddy now, happy and healthy!
Because of this, Buddy doesn't really like strangers. He's a pretty chill dog at home with us. He doesn't really like to play with toys, and he sleeps a lot, but whenever people come over, he has a freak-out.

We've recently hired a dog trainer from here in Utah who's helping us train buddy with his issues with people.
You can see his website here:

So far we've learned a lot... probably more than buddy. But we still need help. Anyone who would be willing to come sit on our couch while we train buddy, we would be more than grateful! (and we'll feed you. wink wink, nudge nudge!)
